Open Educational Resources (OER)

Findability of OER

Findability refers to find content or functionality that user assume is present in a website, according to its purpose. Thus, it is closely related to the quality of response that users obtain when they define a search to locate content that match their needs.

A high findability is a desirable condition in OER websites because the primary function of these is to provide users the pieces of educational content that they require.

In the case of users with disabilities, the resources should be suitable for specific requirements of users with disabilities, for example, content can be read with screen reader software or can interact based on speech recognition.

Some parameters affect findability such as Web Accessibility, Web Usability, and Information Architecture.
