What is XAMPP?
XAMPP is an easy to install Apache distribution containing MySQL, PHP and Perl. At the moment, there are four XAMPP distributions:
- Linux.
- Mac OS X.
- Solaris.
- Windows.
Basically, XAMPP for Windows includes the following software:
- Apache.
- FileZilla FTP Server.
- Mercury Mail Transport System.
- MySQL.
- PHP + PEAR.
- Perl.
- phpMyAdmin.
- Webalizer.
